Meaningful Beauty

Informercial – 1.     Allison – 0.

Yep.  I caved.  I am now the proud owner of Cindy Crawford’s skin care line.

Sidenote: I had seen the Meaningful Beauty infomercial many times before and was strong not to pick up the phone right away and call, but they got me this time.

A couple months ago, Caroline and I ran into Cindy at the Malibu Lumber Yard.  She took our breath away.  Her skin is perfection.  She was glowing.  I hope to I get the same results. Fingers crossed.

This is just another job of an actor.  You always have to be camera ready because you never know when your big break might come!  This goes along with the whole marketing idea of creating the perfect package for your product.

I know I live in Beverly Hills now, and there is probably a faster way to fix those wrinkles that are starting to form on my forehead…. BUT I am doing everything I can to stay away from BH’s “drug” of choice – Botox!

This is what sold me.  Watch below…

I just started today!  I will keep you posted.  Hopefully, there will be an amazing AFTER picture. Maybe I’ll look like this…

Workin’ on my fitness!

Actors not only have to train and work on their craft, they also have to train in the gym!  If you treat acting as a business, the actor is the product.  The product’s packaging and marketing (physical appearance) is just as important as the product (acting) itself.  You are selling an image before you are selling the acting.

I am a very lucky girl because I have found a work out that I LOVE!!  The Tracy Anderson Method.

I had my friend, Kelly Ripa, do a little piece on the Tracy Anderson Method for you all!

I was first introduced to the Tracy Anderson Method by Emily, my older sister.  Emily gave me Tracy’s first mat method DVD.  I fell in love!  I would do the DVD in my living room back in my college days.  I then moved to Los Angeles and have been able to go to Tracy’s studio in Studio City!  They customize a workout specifically for me (and my big booty)!  I have also been able to work out with Tracy herself.  It’s crazy that I used to stare at her on the TV for years and now I get to see her in real life.  She is just as cute and tiny as you think she would be, and also really sweet.  She LOVES what she does and is quite brilliant… you can tell there really is a method to her madness. I am so grateful for the Tracy Anderson Method Studio and all the amazing trainers, as well as the wonderful clients/friends I’ve made there.

Here are a few pictures of the LA Studio below…

TAM Studio

A lot of celebrities love the method because each move is specifically tailored to each person, so you see the results fast!  Here are Tracy and Nicole… Look at those hotties!

One of the things Tracy stresses is that you don’t have to be a client in her studio to get a Tracy Anderson workout/body!  You can do it in the comfort of your own home.  She has awesome DVDs that you can do yourself.  Visit her website for more details!  Try a few right now…

Your little buns will feel tighter after these few moves.  I promise!

The 85th Academy Awards

Academy Awards 1

Congratulations to all the winners!  There is something about the Oscars that is so magical.  I think it’s the tradition (I love tradition)… and seeing all that talent in one place.

I think that night, the whole world fell in love with Jennifer Lawrence!  I know I have a little bit of a crush.  She is so real and down to earth.  I was hoping for an awesome acceptance speech, but I think she was in so much shock that she couldn’t get much out because, I mean, she had just won an Oscar AND  fallen flat on the stairs on her way up! Her interview with the press, though, did not disappoint!  Watch below…

And the Oscar goes to… Jennifer Lawrence for Best Supporting Actress in Silver Linings Playbook

And the Oscar goes to… Daniel Day Lewis for Best Actor in Lincoln

Very witty, Mr. DDL.  Fantastic speech.

And the Oscar goes to… Argo for Best Picture

“I know what you’re thinking…Three Sexiest Producers Alive.”

One of the big controversies of this year’s Oscars was the fact that Ben Affleck was not nominated in the Best Director category for Argo.  Many people thought the Academy made a huge mistake by snubbing Ben from this honor.  I think the Academy made up for the snub in a huge way by honoring him with the Oscar for Best Picture.

Ben’s speech was extremely sweet and heartfelt.  He reminded us all of a very important lesson we need to remember whenever we struggle…
