It’s the little things in Nantucket like…

Those cobblestone streets

Never having to stop at a red light

Working at my favorite store, Milly & Grace

Rose-covered cottages

Spending my days off at the beach/pool

…that make me smile a bit brighter!

Throwback Thursday – Nantucket Edition

Well, my month in Georgia is almost up! My mom and I begin our road trip up to Nantucket really early on Saturday morning! Nantucket is my favorite place in the world…now, I haven’t been everywhere in the world. But, of all the places I have been, it really is my favorite. It is where summer truly begins for me. I can finally relax and it just feels like home to me. I hold that quaint little island so close to my heart and I love it so so much. I decided that, in honor of beginning my eighteenth summer there, I would dedicate this Throwback Thursday post to my earliest summers in Nantucket.

Yoforia

My mom and I have a real obsession with frozen yogurt. There have been multiple times where we have been going about our days separately and by complete accident run into each other at our favorite frozen yogurt place, Yoforia. One time, when my mom and I went together, she whipped out one of those punch cards that I didn’t even know she had…In fact, I didn’t even know they existed. (Obviously, she goes quite often!) And any time we have a show to watch together like Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, or The Bachelor/The Bachelorette, we always have take-out frozen yogurt to enjoy while watching TV.

Last night, we scheduled a frozen yogurt date with my friend, Elyssa, and her mom, Sara! There are so many people we want to see before we go away for the summer and we have been doing our best to make it all happen. And what’s better than being able to catch up with your friends and enjoy some delicious frozen yogurt?? Not too many things.

^^Remember when I posted about that cute little girl Rachel, and her parents were two of my teachers? Well, they were Elyssa’s two teachers too and her mom, Sara, was the mastermind behind setting those two up! She is quite the match maker :)

We had so much fun catching up that we pretty much overstayed our welcome…but the sweet girls closing the shop let us sit at the table past open hours while they cleaned up inside and when they were ready to go home, we helped them bring the table and chairs back inside! Needless to say, it was a good night!
