Meet Ashley!

DSCN2209edited

Let me introduce you guys to my friend, Ashley! She is one of the coolest kids in town. She plays tennis, fences, swims, makes her own birthday cards, and will remember your birthday forever and ever even if you only tell her once. And more importantly, she has the biggest heart that you will ever find in a person.

Just recently, she graduated from high school. She was the first one to cross the stage! And I really could not be more proud! We got together with our moms the other day to celebrate her achievements and catch up! Here are a few pictures from our lunch:

Ashley was one of my very first friends I met when I moved back to the US after living in Australia for a few years. We were eight years old when we met, and we have stayed friends ever since! I am one lucky girl to call her my friend. I love you, Ashley!

Happy Memorial Day

Memorial Day is such a fun holiday! It is a kick off to summer and who doesn’t love summer? That means beaches, lakes, pools, barbeques, sundresses, white jeans, bathing suits….

But most importantly…it is a day to remember and celebrate all of the American heroes whose bravery and sacrifice have kept us safe and protected our freedoms.

Memorial Day 1

So, thank you to all of the men and women (including my Nanny, Papa, and Granddad) who have put their lives on the line for us. We are so grateful.

All of that goodness in one day…I think it is a pretty under rated holiday!

I hope each and every one of you are having a Happy Memorial Day!

Dreaming up decorating ideas for my first home (I realize that’s years away…but it’s never too early to start dreaming!)

Thunderstorms

…that make me smile a bit brighter!

(P.S. Both my mom and my dad used to have a car like the one in the picture!)
