Emily Paddleboards & Ivy Swims!

It was a big day in the Hollister house.  Lots of firsts!  I went paddleboarding for the first time.  (Yes!  I checked off #21 off my list of 30 things to do before I’m 30).  Also, more importantly, Ivy went swimming!!  It was probably the most proud I’ve ever been in my life.  She handled it like a boss.

So.. off I go on the paddleboard!! It was a blast and so great to be out on the water! It’s a little awkward at first but once you get the hang of the strokes it is smooth sailing.  I knew my kayaking days at Camp Wyonegonic would come in handy one day!

We paddled out to Monamoy beach and thought we would give Ivy a chance to swim.  Come on Ivy!!

Miss Ivy Sleeps…Everywhere!

It’s been 4 weeks since we went to fetch little Miss Ivy.  She’s quickly made herself comfortable in her new home.  In fact, she sleeps just about anywhere.  Here she is sleeping in my lap her first night home…

Ivy Sleeps

Ivy loves her spot under the coffee table.  There used to be magazines under there but she likes to chew them so they had to go.  This was actually very convenient because it helped me check off #24 on my list of 30 things to do before I’m 30!

She sleeps at the beach and on the threshold of the door.

She even fell asleep with her head resting on the table stretcher. (I  know you can’t really tell but she is totally asleep!)

She’s cute while she sleeps but she’s even cuter when she’s up and about.  She’s very busy and follows me around wherever I go.  She is the best company and well…she’s my little buddy.

Checking things off my list! #23 Skinny Dipping

I have just under 4 months to check off everything on my list of things I need to do before I’m 30. There are a few things that need to get done before the summer is over… Like #23 Skinny Dipping. The ocean is already getting cooler!!

We took the boat to the middle of the harbor and jumped in.

It was dark… but here is the proof that I did it!
