In Front of the Ivy: Fall Color Trend – Blush!

It’s time for another “In Front of the Ivy”!!  My new blog series where I share some of my favorite things from Milly & Grace! Remember my inaugural post?  My Favorite Summer Color Combo: Blue & White?  Well, now let’s switch gears to Pre Fall.  The color that I am seeing everywhere is Blush!  Now, it’s no secret that blush is one of my favorite colors.  But don’t worry, just because I’m partial to pink does not mean that I’m steering you in the wrong direction.  Even Ralph Lauren’s Fall Collection is all about blush!!

Rebecca Taylor’s blush floral printed silk top is perfect to wear on it’s own now while it’s still warm or under a blazer once it starts to cool down.IvyBlush1Rose gold jewelry is the perfect way to pull blush into your fall outfits.  Our Shashi layering bracelets and our best selling Gillian Julius tube bracelets are pieces that you can dress up or down! IvyBlush2Sometimes you just gotta believe! Shy by Sydney Evens makes these dainty everyday necklaces with a charming reminder.  As seen on the Nantucket blACKbook! Other available words: love, breathe, dream, yolo, xoxo, mrs!

Wedding Wednesday

bwblushwedding1

I may or may not have mentioned this already before, but just in case I haven’t…black and white is my favorite color combination. Ever. It’s classic, sophisticated, and as simple as it comes with the potential to be pretty bold. My room back in Georgia is decorated with a black and white color scheme with some pops of color. The feel of that room is on the bolder side of the color combo’s potential. But, this invitation I found relaxes the color combination to its elegant and simple nature. I’m pretty much madly in love with this invitation set and of course wanted to dream up a wedding embodying the essence of it. Here’s what I came up with:

A Night at the Malibu Fair

On Saturday night, Hannah, Allie, and I went to the fair! I am obsessed with the fair. Rides seriously make me smile from ear to ear and giggle uncontrollably. One of my favorite feelings is when I lose my stomach and I really only get that feeling from amusement park and carnival rides. (OH and a canyon swing too!) So, I was so excited when the girls said they wanted to go with me. We had so much fun!!

I took a little bit of video footage (on the rides I was brave enough to film on) so that you could feel like you were on the rides with us!

And of course, what would a trip to the fair without funnel cake be?? That stuff is delicious.
