Happy Birthday Francis!

Yesterday was my suitemate’s birthday! Everyone in my suite was born between January and July so this was the first birthday we got to celebrate and we were all so excited to throw a little party!!
While the birthday girl was in class, we decorated the suite with streamers and we each wrote her a card to put on the wall!
Then, we all surprised her and sang happy birthday as she came around the corner!
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a birthday party without cake and ice cream!
This morning when I came out of my room to get ready for class I saw that our birthday cards to Francis had been replaced by Thank You notes she had written to each of us.
Francis is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She says “thank you” about a million times a day…even when she doesn’t need to! She is always leaving us little notes around the suite. And she kicks butt in Tae Kwon Do. I know I’m not the only one who feels lucky to have her in our suite.

Ben Affleck winning Best Director!
I couldn’t have been more excited for Ben!! It was one of those moments where I was thinking in my head… “Come on, Ben… Come on, Ben”, knowing that he probably won’t win because he is up against Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, Ang Lee and Kathryn Bigelow and was left off the Oscar nomination list…. but then HE WON! You could tell he was truly surprised!!!

Before doing her job of presenting the Golden Globe for Best Actor, Jen made sure to thank the few people Ben forgot… on behalf of her husband. It was so cute. Such a real moment. And the Golden Globe for Cutest Couple goes to… Ben And Jen!
