Tim & Santi’s Welcome to Nantucket Party!

A couple of months ago, I picked up the phone and made a call to a guy in Virginia who I’d never met.  I asked him if he would be interested in moving to Nantucket to be Milly & Grace’s Director of E-Commerce & Brand Development.  It only took 2 weeks to seal the deal and then 2 weeks after that Tim and his husband Santi packed up and moved up to Nantucket.  Moving to a little island 30 miles out to sea is no easy transition and I was so touched by Tim’s willingness to take a chance on me & the store, that I wanted to throw them a little party to welcome them!

The dessert table!  Our mom Patty is known for her immaculate party planning skills (She is also sometimes known as “crazy crazy matchy matchy party lady”) and she helped with the design. And Caroline did too!   Allison, Caroline & I just try to keep up and hope that she rubs off on us!!

Introducing Santi & Tim!

Tim & his bevy of Ott girls!

Tim is known for always sporting a bow tie with his perfectly coordinated outfits.  (We think he might have been an Ott in a past life).  So that became our party inspiration and we even had bow tie cupcake toppers made!

The Party details!!  Of course I had to get the 100th Anniversary Blue Ball Heritage Jars to match our color theme! You can find them here!

Party Shots: Friends & Fun!

Courtney & Jason were impressing us with their dance moves as the night went on!

Tim & Santi have only been on Nantucket for a couple of months but they are settling in quite nicely!  I think they may know more people than I do!  This is mostly attributed to the fact that they both have the biggest hearts and the most infectious dispositions.  When you meet these guys you can’t help but want to get to know them! Welcome Tim & Santi!  We are so happy you are here!

  1. Caroline Ott :

So happy! I don’t know what I’d do if these two ever left this island! They are such gems. I love you, Tim and Santi!

  2. […] is going to be blogging too!!  You’ve all met Tim before when I posted pictures from his Welcome to Nantucket Party but now you will get to know more about the man who is behind the Milly & Grace online […]

  3. […]  Whenever I host a large get togethers I find that serving cocktails is one of the more challenging things to keep up with as they require so much time.  Mixing up signature cocktail ahead of time makes the party run so much smoother and  you aren’t playing bartender all night!  It makes it even easier to serve your signature drink in a drink dispenser.  Above is the Moscow Mules we served as the signature drink for Tim & Santi’s Welcome Party !
