1.  ALERT THE AUTHORITIES!!! CAROLINE WILL BE LANDING ON AMERICAN SOIL TOMORROW!!!!

IF YOU SEE THIS CUTE FACE AT THE AIRPORT…..

Caroline

GIVE HER A HUG FOR ME!!!

NOTE: SHE CURRENTLY DOES NOT HAVE BANGS.  I REPEAT SHE DOES NOT HAVE BANGS!!

I DON’T HAVE A CURRENT PICTURE OF HER BECAUSE I HAVEN’T SEEN HER IN MONTHS!!

2.  I went back to Georgia this weekend for my high school best friend’s wedding!  I had so much fun seeing old friends and reminiscing about all the good ole times/trouble we got into! ;)  I felt like time hadn’t passed though.  It still felt like those good ole times!  Haley married her high school sweetheart, Jeff.  Here is a picture of them from our Junior Prom and then here they are on their wedding day!  Too cute, right!?

3.  Throwback!  While I was back in Georgia, I went through all my old high school stuff.  Pictures, notes, yearbooks… I won the Senior Superlative, Most Likely to End Up in Hollywood.   The Northview Senior class got it right!  I made it to Hollywood, and now I’m (slowly but surely) making it happen!

4.  I went to Home Depot while I was in Georgia to pick up some materials so my Dad could drive them up to Nantucket for my DIY christmas presents!  When I came back to the car, I found this on my windshield… Ohhhhh yeah! Sexy Red Head in the Home Depot parkin’ lot left me his numbahhh!

5.  While I was in Georgia, I missed LA.  I watched the movie This Is 40 so I wouldn’t feel so homesick.  It was shot in Brentwood and reminds me of LA, and it makes me laugh out loud.  (I was only there 2 1/2 days. Pathetic… but YAY for loving where I am living.)

6.  I once argued with people at work (Maureen and Ellen) saying that Home Alone 2 was better than the original Home Alone.  I TAKE IT BACK!!!!!!!!  I would like to formally retract that previous statement saying that Home Alone 2 was better than Home Alone.  Thanks to Delta Airline, who is currently offering all these amazing Christmas movies for free on their flights, I was able to watch Love Actually and Home Alone on my flight back from Georgia!

WHAT??

7.  I literally have nothing else for you guys.  I was really struggling with this one… It’s now 3pm PST/6pm EST.  But I feel like you are now all on the Same Page with me.  DO YOU HAVE ANY UPDATES FOR ME???? Talk to me.

P.S. I saw this guy at the airport.  I am still trying to figure out what the painting on the back of his jacket meant.  He was so cool and artsy.  He had these big silver rings on, longish hair and a cool army jacket on…. but then he turned around and he had this painting on the back of his jacket (that he had obviously painted himself).  It looks like a bunch of sperm going to a magical egg.  (Am I allowed to say sperm on this blog?  Caroline and/or Patty, get back to me on that.)  Maybe he painted the creation of himself.  Like he was this magical egg???  I don’t know.  I need another opinion/interpretation on this.  Comment below if you have any good ones!

Choc Peppermint Rice Krispy Treat

Monkey and I are back with an easy Holiday treat recipe –  Chocolate Peppermint Rice Krispy Treats!

Ingredients

3 Tablespoons of Butter

6 cups of mini PEPPERMINT marshmallows

6 cups of Cocoa Krispies

Choc Peppermint Rice Krispy Treat 1

He was posing all cute and on his best behavior for like 3 seconds, and then he stuck his hand in the marshmallows.

Monkey really tries to be helpful.  He carried the pot over for me… and then did this amazing front flip into the pot.

Then all of a sudden he pulled out some mistletoe.  Mistletoe.  Where does a monkey get mistletoe from ??  He even did the spiderman upside down kiss thinking that would help him get lucky!  And it did ;)

Then we melted the butter, added the marshmallows, stirred them until they were melted, added the cocoa krispies, stirred,  then poured it into a buttered pan and smooshed it down.

They turned out great!  Easy and simple!  Done in minutes and ready to eat!   Some recipes called for extra peppermint extract but I think they were pepperminty enough (but not too strong).

I was trying to take pictures but all he wanted to do was get his hands on a treat!  I kept shooing him away and then he came in all Tom Cruise “Mission Impossible” style!

Cooking with a monkey is not always easy… but there is never a dull moment with him!

Swiss Date Night with Hannah

So finals are almost over (ONE more left people!!) and that means we are going back to America! (Well, Hannah is going to Canada.)  Also, that means that Hannah and I will be apart from each other for a whole month. We hate that…I mean, we spend literally every second together since we live together in a teeny tiny room. So, to go from every second to nothing is crazy. We are so excited to see our families that we couldn’t even put it into words, but we will miss each other and Switzerland too. So, we went out on a little Swiss date night last night. We started off trying this adorable new café just down the street from our school called Sheep’s Coffee. And we had cinnamon cappuccinos and croissants filled with Swiss chocolate!

^^We were obsessed with the vintage pictures on the wall, and I was particularly obsessed with those lights!

Then, we moved on to some Christmas shopping for Hannah’s brothers (Boys, be excited…they’re really good this year!). And I can’t say where we shopped cause that would give the present away…but it was Swiss related in order to go along with our Swiss themed night!

And finally, we went to pick up dinner. We got the fluffiest softest baguette we could find, some cheese, prosciutto, some grapes, and, of course, chocolate for dessert! This was one of the first meals we had in Switzerland. (Remember when we went on that hike through the Swiss Alps way back before school even started?)

And then, we put on a movie that wasn’t Swiss related but it is one of our favorite things to do. We watched What Maisie Knew, which was really really good. Sad at parts, but that little girl was the cutest thing in the whole world! And then when it was over, Netflix recommended another Julianne Moore movie called The English Teacher…so we hit play and watched another movie!

And then we went to bed. And now it’s the morning and that means breakfast and then studying, studying, studying! Oh and also some packing…family, I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
